NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 15, 2005) – Bridgestone® brand Turanza™ EL40002™ tires will be original equipment on the 2006 Cadillac DTS, which was introduced by General Motors at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show. Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) will supply the luxury sedan with its premium performance Turanza EL40002 tire in size P245/50R18 99H.

“We’re thrilled to grow our premium-brand original equipment business with this fitment. It’s especially exciting as it represents the first-ever application of a Bridgestone brand tire at Cadillac. It also marks the first of several fitments we will be launching with Cadillac over the next year,” said Michael Martini, president, original equipment consumer tire division, BFNT. “The luxury appearance and advanced technology of the Turanza EL40002 make it a perfect compliment for the Cadillac DTS, as well as a great fit for our strategy of expanding Bridgestone brand fitments on luxury nameplates, including Cadillac.”

The Turanza EL40002 tire in size P245/50R18 99H carries an H speed rating and a UTQG rating of 300 for treadwear, A for traction and A for temperature. The Turanza EL40002 is a new premium touring design with emphasis on those characteristics most important for a luxury touring sedan, including enhanced ride and reduced noise levels.
