Firestone Industrial Products Announces Price Increases

Indianapolis, Indiana (Sept. 29, 2005) - Firestone Industrial Products Company, an operating unit of BFS Diversified Products, LLC, has announced price increases of up to seven percent on all product lines. The price increases are scheduled to take effect beginning October 1, 2005 and will affect all air springs and associated industrial products sold through original equipment (heavy-duty and automotive), industrial and aftermarket channels.

According to Mike Cerio, President of Firestone Industrial Products Company, “Our industry has faced unprecedented, dramatic increases in raw material costs. The continued escalated cost of steel and natural rubber, coupled with recent increases in petrochemical and energy costs has impacted production costs of all the products that we manufacture. Our ongoing improvements in manufacturing and operational efficiency cannot offset these cost increases.
