Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 18, 2005) - Bridgestone Corporation will be supplying Bridgestone brand Potenza® RE92™ tires for original equipment fitment on the 2006 Subaru Impreza®. Bridgestone is the primary tire supplier for Subaru vehicles sold in the United States, and will outfit the newly redesigned Impreza WRX models with all-season Bridgestone Potenza RE92 215/45ZR17 Z-speed rated tires.

Fitted on the Impreza WRX sedan and wagon models, the Bridgestone Potenza RE92 in size 215/45ZR17 delivers world-class responsiveness, handling and cornering for the all-wheel drive vehicles.

“We’re excited to be part of this bold redesign by Subaru,” said Michael Martini, president, original equipment consumer tire division, Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT). “The all-season, high-performance capabilities of the Bridgestone brand Potenza RE92 meets the needs of the popular Impreza line. We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Subaru in delivering future original equipment fitments.”

Interlocking triangulated blocks and circumferential grooves in the tread design allow the high performance Bridgestone Potenza RE92 to provide excellent wet, dry and snow traction. The computer enhanced tread design also minimizes road noise, and the tire’s polyester cord body promotes ride comfort.
