Bridgestone Firestone Announces Yoshimori Promotion

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 28, 2005) – Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) today announced that Hiro Yoshimori, currently that company’s vice president, North American consumer tire marketing, has accepted a new assignment in Japan and will be leaving BFNT at the end of the year. Yoshimori’s new position, president of Bridgestone Tire Hokuriku Sales Corporation, a subsidiary of Japan’s Bridgestone Corporation, is a promotion and will be effective January 1, 2006. His successor has not yet been announced.

Yoshimori is a 24-year veteran of Bridgestone Corporation and its U.S. based subsidiaries. In addition to his current position with BFNT, he has held positions of increasing responsibility during his ten years in the United States, including assignments with BFNT’s sister company, BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC), parent company of Firestone Complete Auto Care. In announcing Yoshimori’s promotion to BFNT teammates, John Gamauf, president, consumer replacement tires, said, “Hiro has made great contributions to our company. Personally, I will miss his support, vision and friendship. His focus has always been on constantly improving our company.”

Mark A. Emkes, CEO and chairman of Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc. and BFNT, congratulated Yoshimori on his promotion saying, “I have every confidence that Hiro will continue to make great contributions in Japan, just as he has here at BFNT and BFRC.
