DETROIT, Mich. (August 8, 2006) - From the sound of rumbling hot rod engines on Woodward Avenue to the thunder of the Brickyard – one lucky car lover will win the gear-head trip of a lifetime: a trip to see the greatest spectacle in racing – the Indianapolis 500. And all they have to do is cruise to a Detroit metro-area Firestone Complete Auto Care™ store and enter the “WCSX Classic Rock Cruiser” sweepstakes, courtesy of Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT), BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC) and 94.7 WCSX-FM.

The contest began on July 31 and continues through Aug. 13, individuals over the age of 18 can visit any of the 19 greater Detroit metro-area Firestone Complete Auto Care locations to enter to win one of 50 VIP spots at the 2006 cruise on Woodward Avenue as well as the grand prize: a trip to the 2007 Indianapolis 500 including hotel accommodations, meals and transportation to and from the race.

Fifty semi-finalists will be selected to attend a luncheon at the Firestone Complete Auto Service Center on Woodward Avenue, dubbed “Bridgestone Alley,” to enjoy views of classic cars, a catered lunch and a live performance by Steve Kostan and the Eddie Leighton Project. Bridgestone Alley also will host several premier classic cars during the one-day event. Cruise-goers are invited to vote for their favorite classic car on display. The crowd’s choice will win a set of tires courtesy of BFNT and BFRC.

From the pool of 50 semi-finalists, one lucky person will be declared the grand prize winner and receive two VIP tickets to the 2007 Indianapolis 500 as well as hotel accommodations, meals and transportation to and from the race.
