Jim ’s classic tractor now takes center stage on www.FirestoneTruckTires.com. On the site, Firestone asks visitors to “Show Us Your Chrome” by submitting photos of their hard-working trucks.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s true – Jim ’s 1988 Marmon still has the original paint! Jim bought this classic three years ago for his dedicated hauls to northeastern Pennsylvania from Rochester , New York .

The truck is powered by a Caterpillar 3406B ATAAC, slightly tweaked 425-horsepower engine teamed with a 13-speed transmission. Jim rebuilt the motor 230,000 miles ago, and this year, the chassis will turn over one million miles.

Jim is beginning to show his Marmon at truck shows. He gets quite a bit of attention because most people aren’t familiar with the brand. The Marmon Truck Co. closed its doors in 1997, but many owners remain loyal to the hand-built, premium trucks.

Jim and his wife Michelle have been married for five years and live in West Bloomfield , NY . Soon Michelle won’t be at home alone with only their pets as company; they are in the process of becoming foster/adoptive parents. They hope to adopt a couple of children very soon!
