Bridgestone Firestone Off Road Tire Company Introduces Next Generation Of Tire Tracking

Las Vegas, NV. (March 13, 2008) – Mining tire data just got easier for the construction, aggregate and mining industries.

Bridgestone Firestone Off Road Tire Company (BFOR), an operating unit of Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) announced it has developed the next generation of its tire management software: TreadStat 3.0.  The software was introduced today at CONEXPO-CON/AGG at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“TreadStat has been a standard in the industry for years, but now it’s even more user-friendly and provides functionality that will help streamline a company’s day-to-day operations,” said Chris Rhoades, Manager, Business Intelligence and TreadStat Product Manager for BFOR.  “TreadStat 3.0 is the culmination of years of feedback from our dealers and end-users.   We are proud to say that this easy-to-use tire management software will now be extremely powerful.”

BFOR will offer TreadStat 3.0 with the option to perform tire tracking and analysis online as well as from a PC beginning May 1. It can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection, which means sites across the country or world can share real-time data.

Enhanced features include:

  • Consolidated Reporting—Locations can be combined across area, region, division or company. It’s also possible to merge all locations for a “super set” of data to analyze.
  • Drill-Down Reporting—Sub-reports can be accessed that allow the user to drill all the way down to a single tire’s full history.
  • Output Reports—Reports can be exported directly into PowerPoint, PDF, Excel or Word.
  • Email Reports—Reports can be emailed directly to contacts.
  • New Reports—Some reports have been combined, others dropped, and new ones added to streamline the reporting process.
  • Comprehensive Database—An improved database includes all currently published off-road tires as well as many vehicles complete with engineering data.
  • Improved Input—Users can add tires by simply inputting the article/product number, and TreadStat 3.0 fills in the rest of the information.
  • Enhanced Repair Tracking—Visual marks of red and blue indicate tire repair history.
  • Library of Resources—Accompanying the software is a complete library of electronic resources such as the Maintenance Guide, Data Book, Base Price List, etc. Updates will be downloaded automatically.
  • Job Condition Study Reports—Allows users to perform detailed inspections on a site’s operating conditions, such as speeds, grades, spillage, etc.
  • Automatic Updates—When logging onto TreadStat 3.0, updates will be automatically downloaded.
  • Database Utilities Enhancements—Backed-up data can be emailed directly to someone or can be backed-up to the user’s specified network drive.

“TreadStat 3.0 is the only off-road tire management software fully designed, developed and supported by a tire manufacturer,” said Rhoades. “We believe these improvements provide an even better support system for our dealers and end-users to decrease costs and increase efficiency.”
