Firestone Industrial Products Company Announces Price Increase on Air Springs

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug 1, 2008) – Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC, has announced a price increase between three and five percent on air springs for the European heavy-duty market.

The prices increases — effective on October 1, 2008 — are due to increased raw material and fuel costs. There have been significant price increases for the raw materials used to manufacture Firestone’s air springs including steel, carbon black, aluminum, natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber.
