Firestone Hosts Open House at New Atlanta FacilityCompany invites customers to tour its latest metal products manufacturing and warehouse location
COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (Dec. 9, 2008) — Firestone Metal Products, LLC (FSMP) selected College Park, Ga., as the home of its newest metal products plant and distribution center. The state-of-the-art facility, which began operations in July, hosted an Open House earlier today to show its customers the wide range of UNA-CLAD® by Firestone products now manufactured locally, including architectural metals in coils and flat sheets in addition to factory-fabricated roofing systems. The new facility also includes a light gauge cut-to-length line with corrective leveling, coil-slitting and roll-forming capabilities.
“The investment of a seventh manufacturing plant proves our commitment to providing high-quality service and products, and expanding our offerings in the marketplace,” said John Bernardi, President, FSMP.
With more than 30 years of experience and expertise, FSMP, a division of Bridgestone Firestone Diversified Products (BFDP), manufactures a full line of architectural metal roofing products, vertical wall panel systems and column covers for the entire building envelope.
The company also operates metal production sites in Anoka, Minn.; Miramar, Fla.; Warren, Mich.; Reno, Nev.; Jackson, Miss.; and Morrisville, Penn.
