BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC and ASE Name Technician of the Year Technician honored for outstanding achievements

BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. (Dec. 10, 2008) — BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC), which operates the world’s largest network of company-owned automotive service providers, and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) have named Robert Pauley the BFRC/ASE Master Automobile L1 Technician of the Year. Pauley was selected for his outstanding individual achievements, including top scores on ASE tests, on-the-job excellence and community service.

“Robert Pauley exemplifies our brand motto, ‘a Promise to Care’,” said Larry J. Magee, Chairman, CEO and President of BFRC. “We are proud to have him represent our organization as the BFRC/ASE Master Automobile L1 Technician of the Year.”

Pauley, Lead Technician at Firestone Complete Auto Care™ in Great Falls, Mont., is a 17-year BFRC veteran. In addition to being an Automotive Master Technician with L1, Pauley is also a Truck Master Technician, holding a total of 17 ASE certifications, a unique accomplishment. In response to high local demand, Robert sought Ford Power Stroke Diesel Training on his own, allowing his store to respond to customer needs. He also has the distinction of being one of BFRC’s first Western Zone Tech Trainers and he mentors new technicians in his area as well as throughout the district via phone.

In addition to his loyalty and commitment to BFRC, Pauley is an active member of the community and has made two trips to Ukraine with his church group to help build an orphanage and a kid’s camp for children in the orphanage.
