Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations Introduces Newest Addition To The Duravis™ Tire LineDuravis M895 offers all-season, off-road capabilities to light truck & commercial tire line

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 28, 2009) — Since its introduction in 2007, the Bridgestone Duravis™ heavy-duty light truck commercial tire line has been providing customers with the durability and reliability they need for the toughest jobs. Now, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) has extended the line with the introduction of the Duravis M895, featuring steel reinforced sidewalls with the added benefit of all-season and on/off road capabilities to an already comprehensive product line.

Drawing upon the strength of existing Bridgestone commercial tire offerings, the Duravis line was developed to deliver long mileage, extended use and reliable performance for fleets as well as personal and commercial light truck users.

Like the Duravis R250, the design features of the Duravis M895 include a reinforced steel casing for long life and retreadability, and other enhanced technologies for optimum performance. The closed shoulder of the Duravis M895 contributes to improved wear and the tire’s stone rejecter design offers enhanced casing durability. To further reinforce the overall performance of the Duravis M895, the tire features a dual sidewall protector to help resist the cuts and scrapes that, over time, can compromise a tire’s length of use. Its heavy-duty construction helps protect the tire in the most challenging applications and environments.

The Duravis M895 is available in four 16” load range E sizes and accommodates a wide range of vehicle fitments and is applicable in steer and drive positions.

“Since we introduced this product to the marketplace, the Duravis tire line has earned a reputation for durability, endurance and strength, and has delivered all of that to our customers,” said Phil Pacsi, Vice President, Consumer Tire Marketing, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “The Duravis M895 continues to reflect the capabilities people have come to expect from the Duravis family, while also providing the versatility of all-season capability and retreadability.”
