Kings Mountain, N.C. (Oct. 13, 2009) –In what is a major safety achievement, the Firestone Fibers & Textiles Company, LLC (FSFT) facilities in Kings Mountain and Gastonia, N.C., today celebrated 1 million man-hours without a lost-time accident. The facilities each achieved this milestone in early September 2009.

“Safety is the number one priority at all FSFT facilities,” said Jaggy Anand, President, FSFT. “This is a huge milestone for our Kings Mountain and Gastonia plants – an accomplishment for which all of our teammates should be recognized and of which they should all be proud.” The FSFT facility in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada also celebrated this impressive achievement in August 2009.

“Every day, FSFT teammates ensure the highest level of safety for one another in the workplace,” said Fred Padgett, Kings Mountain plant manager, FSFT. “This is a tremendous achievement for our team. We will continue to strive for the highest levels of safety for our plants.”
