Meals On Wheels Association of America and Bridgestone Retail Operations Announce Partnership
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Oct. 23, 2009) –Every day in America, one in nine seniors – an astonishing 5 million people – are facing the threat of hunger. It‟s projected that 75 percent more seniors will be facing the threat of hunger by 2025. In an effort to combat this growing problem, Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA), the oldest and largest organization in the United States representing those who provide meal services to people in need, and Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC (BSRO), announce a national partnership. BSRO operates the largest network of company-owned automotive service providers in the world, including Firestone Complete Auto Care™, Tires Plus™, ExpertTire™ and Wheel Works™ locations.

The partnership will focus on increasing awareness, funding and volunteers for Meals On Wheels programs nationwide. Activities will include fundraisers and volunteer recruitment. In addition, Members of MOWAA and volunteers will have the opportunity to receive very special offers on tires and services at BSRO‟s network of locations.
