Bridgestone Americas, Inc. Announces Nicastro Appointment
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 16, 2010) - Bridgestone Americas, Inc. (BSAM) has announced that Chris Nicastro, currently General Counsel, Bridgestone Americas Latin American Operations, and Corporate Compliance Officer, BSAM, has accepted the position of Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Secretary for BSAM. He replaces Gary Garfield, who has been named CEO and President of BSAM.
In his new role, Nicastro will be responsible for overseeing the legal and compliance functions of the company. The appointment is effective March 1, 2010.

Before joining the Bridgestone Americas family in 2008, Nicastro gained eight years of experience in corporate compliance and ethics with Yasaki North America, Inc. and four years of experience in litigation with Marconi Data Systems, Inc. After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School, Nicastro served as a law clerk in a U.S. District Court for the Hon. Ann C. Williams. Nicastro also holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Franklin & Marshall College.
