Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC Brings More Jobs, Car Care Solutions To Communities Nationwide Bridgestone Retail Operations created more than 550 new jobs and opened 50 new stores in 2010
BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. (Feb. 3, 2011) - Communities large and small across the United States welcomed a new neighbor in 2010, thanks to Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC (BSRO), the world’s largest automotive service provider. BSRO, which operates Firestone Complete Auto Care™, Tires Plus™, ExpertTire™ and Wheel Works, created more than 550 new employment opportunities as a result of opening 50 new automotive service locations.
“We’re focused on providing all of our customers with the best quality automotive products and services in the industry,” said Matt Hoskins, President, BSRO. “By expanding service locations across the country, BSRO strives to better serve customers by making vehicle maintenance more convenient for their busy lives. We look forward to continuing our expansion in 2011”
In addition to creating job opportunities and providing customers with the best services and products, the opening of each new location gives BSRO the chance to reinforce its commitment to the communities it now calls home. To commemorate the openings, BSRO gave more than $40,000 total to charities across the country in 2010.

Throughout the year, store locations support local charitable organizations through donations of time and money; focus on environmental conservation and projects; and host free, hands-on Car Care Academies, which teach consumers how to keep their cars running newer, longer. In October 2010, the Car Care Council honored BSRO with an Automotive Communication Award for the success of its in-store Car Care Academy program, which has been in place for more than 40 years.
