Rodgers Promoted To Director Of Sales And Marketing

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 1, 2011) - Tom Rodgers has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing, Agricultural Tire, U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales Division (BAAG), Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, effective today. He was most recently Director, Marketing, Sales Support and Strategic Management, BAAG.

In his expanded role, Rodgers’ primary objective will be to manage the channel supply strategy between the company’s original equipment and replacement markets. In addition, he will work with the sales team to continue to provide industry leading technology and service to and through the company’s original equipment customers and Certified Dealer network to meet the needs of production agriculture. Rodgers will also continue with his current marketing duties, including responsibility for Marketing and Promotions, Sales Support, Budgeting and Forecasting, Pricing, Product Development, and Field Engineering.

“Tom has brought a tremendous amount of knowledge of the agriculture industry to the BAAG team, both from his professional as well as his personal background,” said Ken Allen, President BAAG. “He has a passion for agriculture and has a great understanding of this industry and opportunities in front of Bridgestone Americas.”

Since joining BAAG in July 2007, Rodgers has held positions of increasing responsibility, beginning as the Manager of Marketing & Specialty Sales to his current roll as Director, Marketing, Sales Support and Strategic Management. Before joining Bridgestone Americas, Rodgers worked for John Deere with responsibilities in the areas of Supply Management and Agricultural Marketing and Product Support. In addition, he has spent most of his professional career in the agricultural industry, with previous experience in the areas of commodities trading, seed sales and farm tires. Rodgers graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance.
