Bridgestone Commercial Solutions Introduces Enhanced Open-Shoulder Radial for Long Haul, Pickup and Delivery Service

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 25, 2011) - Bridgestone Commercial Solutions (BACS), a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, today introduced a new drive tire for high traction and high scrub applications in long haul, regional and pickup and delivery
service.

The new Bridgestone M770 open-shoulder drive axel radial combines greater tread volume for longer mileage with superb traction in all weather conditions. The M770 features an innovative groove and block shape to fight lug base cracking and tearing. For enhanced retreadability, the M770 offers stone rejector platforms in all grooves to help prevent stones from getting trapped and drilling into the belts.

“The M770 is the next generation in open-shoulder drive tires,” said Bert Jones, Manager, Product Marketing, TBR, Retread and OTR, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions. “Its wider and deeper tread pattern, along with the open-shoulder design, delivers exceptionally long wear life and excellent traction.”

The M770 drive tire is available in four sizes. The 295/75R22.5 (G) will be available Aug. 25. The 285/75R24.5 (G), 11R22.5 (G/H) and 11R24.5 (G) are all expected to be available during the first quarter of 2012.

The M770, along with the new Bridgestone M799 mixed service radial and the new GREATEC® R125A wide base radial, will be on display beginning Aug. 25, 2011 at the Bridgestone booth #16081 at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.
