Bridgestone Americas Announces New IT, Finance LeadsTim Walsh named CIO and Alan Lindsey promoted to Vice President, Information Technology; Bill Thompson named Corporate Controller

NASHVILLE, TENN. (June 25, 2012) – Bridgestone Americas recently announced that Tim Walsh, who previously served as Bridgestone Americas Corporate Controller, has been named Chief Information Officer for the company. Walsh will be responsible for overall leadership of Bridgestone’s IT function, including making enhancements to the company’s IT organization and overseeing strategy and implementation to ensure efficient delivery of IT services.

To support Walsh, Alan Lindsey is being promoted to the position of Vice President, Information Technology. Bill Thompson, who currently serves as West Zone Manager for Bridgestone Commercial Solutions, will succeed Walsh as Bridgestone Americas Corporate Controller.

Background Information on Walsh, Lindsey and Thompson
Walsh joined Bridgestone Americas in 1993, and has served as Controller for the company’s tire division as well other financial leadership positions within the Americas, including General Manager, Group Finance for Bridgestone Europe NV/SA in Brussels. Walsh has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.

Lindsey has been a part of the Bridgestone Americas team for almost 14 years, beginning his career with Bridgestone Americas as a network system administrator. He has also served as Director, Information Technology for the company’s building products and industrial products businesses. Lindsey, a Knoxville native, is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and received his certification in Leadership Development from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Business.

Thompson joined Bridgestone Americas in 1996, and has a strong financial background, having served in finance positions of increasing responsibility with the company’s retail, manufacturing and commercial tire groups, as well as Controller for the tire division. Bill received his bachelor’s degree in economics from State University of New York at Stony Brook and his master’s degree in finance from Georgia State University.
