NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 14, 2012) – Bridgestone Americas, Inc. today announced a new head of Human Resources, effective November 26, 2012.
Darrin Rohr has been named Chief Human Resource Officer, Bridgestone Americas. Rohr has an extensive background in working with companies to develop top workplace cultures, including two that were recognized by the Great Places to Work Institute during his tenure: global pharmaceutical services company Quintiles, ranked as a top 25 Global Best Place to Work and Charles Schwab, ranked as a top 10 U.S. Best Place to Work. Rohr also has held high-level human resources positions at other large companies including Lenovo, Yamana Gold Inc. and Pennzoil-Quaker State Company, where he played key roles in building workplace culture. Rohr succeeds Patti James, who is now serving as Bridgestone Americas' Vice President of Shared Services, a post she accepted earlier this year.

Rohr holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washburn University, where he earned the designation of Magna Cum Laude, and a Master of Arts degree in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology and Business from the University of Tulsa, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude.
