Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations Announces New Head of Marketing, Commercial Tire Division Matthew Stevenson appointed Vice President

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 20, 2013) ― Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) today announced a new vice president of marketing for its commercial tire division, effective March 1, 2013.

Matthew Stevenson has been named Vice President, Commercial Tire Division, BATO. Stevenson has an extensive background in marketing for commercial vehicle and component companies, including his most recent position as General Manager of North American Field Operations and Marketing for Meritor, Inc., a Fortune 500 company that manufactures drivetrain components for commercial vehicles. In this role, Matthew was responsible for the leadership of the DriveForce organization, including field sales, service, training, fleet and dealer relationships and product marketing for the truck, trailer and specialty business units. Before joining Meritor in 2010, Matthew spent 10 years at Daimler Trucks North America, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in both sales and marketing. Additionally, Matthew also held the position of Chief Operations Officer position for Daimler’s Mitsubishi Fuso division.

He will be a valuable addition to our team.”

Stevenson earned a bachelor’s degree in management from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
