Bridgestone Commercial Solutions Announces Prize 2 Winners Of The Drive A Firestone Sweepstakes For CDL HoldersDrivers from Texas and California to attend college football national championship game

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 10, 2013) – Bobbie Ward, Jr. of Cleburne, Texas, and William Gill of Riverside, Calif., will attend the college football national championship game in Pasadena, Calif., thanks to a first place win in the Bridgestone Commercial Solutions Drive a Firestone Sweepstakes for CDL holders.

Ward and Gill’s entries were randomly selected from the Drive a Firestone Sweepstakes, part of the year-long Those With Drive, Drive a Firestone campaign designed to celebrate an iconic American brand and introduce new Firestone eco-Products.

“Congratulations to Bobbie and William for winning prize 2 of the sweepstakes,” said Matthew Stevenson, Vice President of Marketing, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions. “Their win gives us yet another opportunity to celebrate all the great things this recognizable brand offers, including new Firestone eco-Products that help drivers save $1,200 annually through 19 percent improved wear life and a 1 percent increase in fuel economy, when compared to our previous generation of products.”

Ward and Gill will travel to Southern California to attend the game in Pasadena’s famous stadium. Ward is attending the game with his 75-year old dad. “Going to a game is something we’ve always talked about doing and never have been able to do, until now,” he says. Ward is looking forward to taking a little time off from work. “I come out to California a lot for work, but never have been able to stop. It will be a nice change of pace,” Ward adds.

“It’s the first time I’m attending a game like this and the first time I’ve ever won a contest,” says Gill. “I don’t even know what teams might be playing and it really doesn’t matter. I’ll be there enjoying the atmosphere, and that’s all good as long as I’m there,” he adds.

There still are more sweepstakes prizes to be won. In March 2014, five randomly selected finalists will be sent to the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., where each will be presented with a key, one of which will start the grand prize – a one-of-a-kind Firestone Edition Class 8 truck. The five lucky finalists also will win an all-expenses paid trip for two to the 2014 Indianapolis 500 Mile Race.

The “Drive a Firestone” sweepstakes is open to drivers who hold a valid U.S. commercial driver’s license (Class 8) and who own or operate a Class 7 or 8 vehicle. To enter, and for complete sweepstakes rules, visit www.firestonetrucktires.com. The sweepstakes entry period closes Dec. 31, 2013.
