Bridgestone Americas Online Training Portal Honored With Multiple Industry Awards Chief Learning Officer magazine, Brandon Hall, among others recognize Bridgestone’s innovation in education

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 7, 2014) – Bridgestone Americas today announced that the company’s educational initiatives recently have been recognized with awards from two leading organizations, Chief Learning Officer and Brandon Hall. Bridgestone’s Consumer Tire Education website, MyBridgestoneEducation.com, received the Learning in Practice Gold Award for Blended Technology from Chief Learning Officer and the Gold Award for Best Sales Training Program from Brandon Hall.

Earlier this year, Bridgestone Americas crafted an entirely new, online curriculum designed specifically for sales associates. The result, MyBridgestoneEducation.com, deploys state-of-the-art techniques and technologies for training, including gamification, video and animation. To date, the company has created more than 65 courses on the portal with customized 3D avatars, videos and graphics, covering technology, products, sales and customer service. More than 90,000 courses have been completed since the new site launched earlier this year.

“Our education team is committed to innovating and pushing ourselves to discover and create the best educational opportunities possible for our Bridgestone retailer network,” said Gregg Trosper, Director, Consumer Tire Education, Bridgestone. “It’s exciting to see our hard work recognized by Chief Learning Officer and Brandon Hall. We view our efforts this past year as the perfect springboard to continue to build specialized courses for sales associates and managers in 2015.”

In addition to the website’s recognition, Bridgestone’s consumer tire education promotion video received a 2014 Training Magazine Training Top Video Crystal Award. The video uses quick tempo and humor to motivate associates to use the new online education program.

The company will continue to expand its online training in 2015 with the addition of a new giveaway incentive program to encourage course completion. The more courses associates complete, the more chances they have to win a prize in monthly drawings. Bridgestone also will be adding more course modules throughout the coming year.
